Lala Kent Claims Randall Threatened to Call the Cops on Her Post-Split

Not holding back. Following her split from Randall Emmett, Lala Kent has offered insight on how she is moving on from the relationship.

Vanderpump Rules viewers, who were introduced to Kent in 2014, were kept in the dark when it came to the reality star’s dating life. The Give Them Lala author started seeing Emmett ahead of season 5, but kept their relationship quiet for two years.

In 2018, the twosome announced their engagement after going public earlier that same year. After Emmett and Kent postponed their April 2020 wedding ceremony due to the coronavirus pandemic, the pair welcomed their daughter, Ocean, one year later.

The Row actress sparked split speculation after she deleted all the photos of the director from her social media in October 2021. One month later, Us Weekly confirmed that they had ended their engagement and were going their separate ways.

“Randall did not want to split but it was Lala’s decision. The trust is gone,” an insider exclusively shared with Us at the time. “He’s been trying to win her back. … For now, she’s not wearing her ring and she’s truly focused on her daughter and her projects. She’s trying to keep everything private.”

Kent, who had already filmed season 9 of Vanderpump Rules with her then-fiancé, offered a glimpse at what she learned filming the reunion special after her breakup.

“I’ve been on this show for six years, I’ve changed a lot as a person — no one can tell me otherwise. … So, when I think back on my time [on the show], I love it, it’s been the ultimate mirror for me, but after that reunion, I sat back and thought, ‘Is this the space for me anymore or do we need to do some soul searching?'” the singer confessed during a December 2021 episode of her “Give Them Lala” podcast.

The beauty mogul claimed that she hadn’t received support from most of her costars after addressing her personal life during the reunion.

“I didn’t hear from one person on my cast except for Raquel [Leviss] to say, ‘Hope you’re doing OK,'” Kent said. “That was very telling for me. … I’m not saying that this group of my friends are bad people in any way. Just because I’m going through something doesn’t mean the world stops. … But I was visibly upset on the reunion, and for not one of them except for my little Bambi to reach out and say, ‘I just want to say I’m sorry for what you’re going through,’ was, like I said, eye-opening.”

That same month, Kent explained how difficult it was to find out new information about the film producer now that they were no longer together.

“The only truth I feel that existed in my relationship was me and my daughter Ocean. That is where the truth ended. That is a hard pill to swallow,” she shared on her podcast. “There are moments [where] I sit here and say, ‘How can I go out into the world and trust anybody ever again? But it’s important for me to learn how to do that because I know that there are a lot of women out there that are going through the same thing that I am and it’s not right. I have to fight for them. I have to fight for Ocean.”

Breaking Her Silence
"I obviously want to acknowledge that I'm sure everyone knows what is going on between Randall and myself and just in my personal life," the former Sur hostess said during a November 2021 episode of her "Give Them Lala" podcast, which she previously shared with Emmett. "There will be a time where I feel comfortable enough to open up and share. Today's definitely not that day. It's been a lot, I'm going through a lot and at this point in time, I just want to protect my child, [Ocean]." While addressing her split, Kent noted that she felt "strong" and "hopeful" when it came to her future. "I feel like it's weird because I, for the first time, have no idea what my future holds. I don't know what each day is going to look like and for a really long time, I've had a schedule where everything is planned out. My future was ahead of me and I was like, ‘This is the plan,’" she said. "And I'm kind of just letting the universe take control of my life and place me where I need to be. I'm not questioning anything."   Press Agency/NurPhoto/Shutterstock
Addressing the Cheating Allegations
Kent discussed the photos of Emmett with two women at a hotel in Nashville one month after they originally surfaced. “I had my head in the sand for a really long time, but I'm grateful no matter what. What's five years and some change versus what I would've been in,” the performer shared during a November 2021 episode of the "Give Them Lala" podcast. “The second that I felt unsafe — I said this in therapy — I said, ‘The second I get a pit in my stomach, it'll be a different conversation.' I got that pit and I got the f--k out. No questions asked. 'Buh-bye.'"   Rob Latour/Shutterstock
Reflecting on Her Past Comments
During an episode of "Give Them Lala," Kent reflected on how she found herself “meddling in other people’s relationships” because of a possible “projection” of her own ups and downs with Emmett.   “I don't know what happened,” Kent added during the November 2021 episode. “All I know is a lot of things … that I meddled in, my comments didn't age well and I'm OK with that. So, I think a lot of it is going to be talking about that and having to answer for a lot of those things.” Matt Baron/Shutterstock
The Tattoo Change
For Kent, seeing photos of Emmett with the women in Nashville inspired her to change up the tattoo she had dedicated to him. “I found out about the pictures of his name we shall not mention and the Nashville girls. [And] I decided on October 20th, the day of my book signing, that I was going to change my tattoo from [‘Rand’] to ‘bRand new,'" she explained on her podcast. "The ‘bRand new’ tattoo is such a vibe. It's just such a fun thing to say, ‘Like, I'm brand new” … and it's in my handwriting — and I am brand new. With everything that's going on, my mind is right, you know? … Boss ass bitch." Dealing With the Past
After learning new information about her relationship with Emmett, Kent acknowledged feeling “disposable” by her ex. “Every day I find out something new that makes me feel [like], ‘Lala you were so disposable the whole time. You meant nothing. … You were a possession, a shiny object and nothing more.' And I have to be OK with that,” she said during the "Give Them Lala" podcast in December 2021. “To learn the things that I learn and try my best to just keep my f–king mouth shut for my daughter, not say a word about what I know, it can become torturous. And I have to sit and say, ‘The universe will do its thing.’” Matt Baron/Shutterstock
Learning the Truth About Her Ring
During the December 2021 podcast episode, the Utah native claimed that her 6-carat engagement ring was not worth $150,000 and had been treated “one or more times” to change its color. “It just was like, ‘Wow, there’s not one piece of the five years I was with this person that has been truthful and honest," she added, referring to the ring as “likely brown” and worth something “in the teens.”  Gregory Pace/Shutterstock
Focusing on the Positive
After an emotional episode of her "Give Them Lala" podcast, Kent took to social media to share a lesson she had learned from the experience. "Try to remember this — I have to reminder myself often, as well ... When somebody suffers from self loathing, they will grasp for anyone to make them forget how much they hate themselves. It's not us, It's them," she wrote via her Instagram Stories in December 2021. "Be grateful for the person they get their claws into next. That person saved you. That, and decided to get the f--k out. If you see the signs — run." KCR/Shutterstock
Staying Strong
"I wonder often where I'm getting strength from and obviously I see my daughter and I know exactly where my strength is from, but I'd be lying to you if I said that, you know, this whole experience has been traumatizing and it haunts me daily," Kent detailed during an appearance on the "Melissa Gorga on Display" podcast in December 2021.  She added: "Just how I could feel so safe with someone and to have a conversation about starting a family and him knowing the life that he was living behind my back and him feeling safe enough to bring this beautiful innocent life into this world is hard." Finding Out That Others Knew
"I wish that somebody would have come to me and said, I'm getting DMs about your person. No one voiced any concern for me and my relationship," Kent emotionally explained during an interview on the "Not Skinny But Not Fat" podcast in December 2021. "James [Kennedy] and [Tom] Sandoval both expressed that they knew things. As time passes, I have a lot of people that are telling me things. Everyone wants to say, 'It's not your business.' How would you feel? I would give everything to turn back the clock and have someone tell me something." The Hard Kill actress admitted that it felt like a "mindf--k" learning about Emmett being unfaithful, adding, "I think I ignored a lot of things that I probably shouldn't have, but I think I ignored them because. He's good at what he does." Kent noted that she would have "put million upon millions of dollars on him never creeping around on me." " I never would have thought in a million years and everyone around me is blindsided as well," she said at the time. "Did we never see it? Did we never question? I mean, I have conversations daily with people in my circle where it's, like, 'What, what the f--k just happened?'" Taylor Jewell/Invision/AP/Shutterstock
Choosing to Protect His Reputation on ‘Vanderpump Rules’
While reflecting on her decision to defend her relationship with Emmett on Vanderpump Rules, Kent referred to her situation as "very dark." "I thank God and my dad daily that I never married him. The thought of it sends me into a panic," she explained on "Not Skinny But Not Fat" in December 2021. "I made up all kinds of s--t to protect this person [on Vanderpump Rules], thinking that I was being protected in return." She continued: "At the beginning of our time together, I was being spoiled a lot and that was not how it was throughout our time together. I always said, 'If I ended up in a box tomorrow, I can't think of anybody else I'd rather live in a box with." John Salangsang/Shutterstock
Where Their Relationship Stands Now
Kent revealed that she and Emmett "don't communicate" since she saw the photos of him in Nashville. "He came home. I had seen the pictures. I kind of knew what I wanted to do. We didn't have a conversation about it and I packed my stuff and I left. No communication about anything. Even now it's through lawyers," the reality star detailed on the "Not Skinny But Not Fat" podcast in December 2021. "I think that's what is so hard to stomach for me is that even when we weren't connecting, I was so loyal and faithful." Kent candidly discussed how she attempted to make their relationship work even through many ups and downs. "I was not sending inappropriate text messages. I was like in it. I went straight to him. If I was ever feeling unhappy, I was willing to do couple's therapy. I started going to therapy on my own," she shared. "Like I was doing anything I possibly could to make sure that he and I would stand the test of time. To feel like I was doing all of that really for nothing. I mean, I look back on these years with him and I can't remember any of it." Broadimage/Shutterstock
Looking Toward the Future
While discussing her life after the split on the "Not Skinny But Not Fat" podcast, Kent revealed that she was looking forward to finding the "amazing love of my life." "I do feel that right now though, I want Give Them Lala to be a f--king empire. That is my baby — that and Ocean. I want to provide her with a beautiful life, that's my priority right now," she added at the time. "Finding love is like beyond on the back burner, even finding a good lay is like beyond on the back burner." David Buchan/Shutterstock
Lala’s ‘Proof’
Kent claimed in December 2021 that she had "proof" her ex-fiancé cheated on her before their split. “I know that he had sent messages that said he never [did], but there’s proof elsewhere,” she told Page Six. “Bottom line is, I feel like I was in a relationship that was based on nothing but lies.” Francois Mori/AP/Shutterstock
Her Insight on the Past
During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen in January 2022, Kent claimed that her ex allegedly started to be unfaithful "quite some time" ago. "It has been kind of repeated behavior that I have found out about, and it is not just one person. It is many. I believe that it started after I got sober. I don't know how I didn't see it," the singer said, noting that Emmett's "constant phone use" later turned into a red flag. "It was glued to him. He couldn't even go into a massage without his phone on him and he would get very funny if I would get near the phone." Kent noted that she didn't initially wonder whether the director was cheating on her, adding, "I thought, 'Who would creep around with him?' I really thought that." Bravo
Recalling the Day
During an appearance on Heather McDonald’s “Juicy Scoop” podcast in January 2022, Kent revealed Katie Maloney was the one to call her when the photos of Emmett in Nashville surfaced. “She said, ‘Are you alone?’ And I said, ‘Yes. What's going on?’ She said, ’Is Randall in Nashville?’ I said, ‘Yeah, he is.’ She goes, ‘I need to show you some pictures,'" Kent recalled. "[And] the second I saw them, that’s when my intuition and my gut started speaking to me, like, something is wrong. This is not the person that I claim I know. Something felt very off.” Kent claimed that Emmett previously told her that he “didn’t go out” before the photos of him and two women walking to a Nashville hotel room surfaced. “He said, ‘Those girls followed me.’ Then, it comes out, ‘I met them at a penthouse party.’ Then, my mind goes back to a few days earlier, where he refused to show me his room in Alabama,” she alleged. “He would not let me see his room when we were FaceTiming. He was in the hallway with no shirt. I was like, ‘Let me see your room.’ And he would not let me see it. And chooses — after I say, ‘This was weird, why would you let me see [your] room?’ — he demands we go to therapy. ‘We need a therapy session because [you're] freaking out for no reason.’ Then, it all starts adding up.” She also expanded on her WWHL remarks that Emmett allegedly started cheating when she got sober. “There was a comment made — and I don't want to say who he made this comment to — but they came to me, and it was after the pictures had been leaked. I was getting my ducks in a row. This person comes to me, and they say, ‘Randall said to me, Lala used to be really fun and kinky and sexy, but, you know, then she got sober.’ And that was like taking a f—king bullet. Being sober is the best thing that’s ever happened to me. No thanks to him. … And to have him say that when he has said to me, ‘If you ever pick up a drink again, we'll be done.’” Randy Shropshire/Bravo
Finding Strength at the Time
"Obviously I get a lot of strength from my daughter — but beyond that, I think strength comes with knowing your worth, with or without someone. The moment I saw who that person really was, and the mask had finally fallen, I know I was better off and he never deserved me," Kent wrote in response to a fan question via Instagram in February 2022. "That feeling gave me power. Even though there are moments I go 'what the f--k,' I find strength in the fact that I am free. I am happy again. I reconginze [SIC] myself in the mirror again." Not Holding Back
In March 2022, Kent accused Emmett of not being faithful to her in the comments section of an Instagram post, writing, "I was alone during most of my pregnancy and for the first 7 months of her life, until the mask fell and I saw who he really was. He started a relationship with a 23 year old in march of 2021 — the month I gave birth." The reality star also alleged that Emmett, who has yet to react to her latest claims, prevented her from leaving their joint home after their split. Posting Pics
Kent told an Instagram follower in March 2022 that Emmett posting Instagram photos of Ocean was "gross," claiming, "We all see it for what it is. The problem (one of many) with narc[issists] is even though we all see them and their little pretending game, they still believe we could never see them for who they are. It’s scary.” Image Press Agency/NurPhoto/Shutterstock; Chris Pizzello/Invision/AP/Shutterstock
Picking Sides
During an April 2022 appearance on WWHL, Kent called out Tom Schwartz for hanging out with Emmett, telling Andy Cohen, “I’m not the type of person to say, like, ‘You have to pick a side,’ but in this situation, if you don’t pick my side or you remain Switzerland, like, I want nothing to do with you.” She added that she “cut” Schwartz from her life after learning he saw Emmett. Shade Alert
In addition to rating Emmett’s producing skills as a “zero,” during her April 2022 WWHL appearance, Kent gave an update on Ocean. "We parallel parent, and I'm trying to move to zero contact. We'll see how that goes,” she said. Charles Sykes/Bravo
Feeling Savage
Kent trolled Emmett in May 2022 when she recreated his alleged Nashville cheating scandal photo while in town on her Give Them Lala Live tour. “You rocked my world, Nashville. I loved staying at @graduatehotels,” she wrote via Instagram. “Three more shows left for the Give Them Lala Live tour! See y’all soon!”  The TV personality shared two photos, one of which appeared to be targeted at her ex-fiancé. Eagle-eyed fans noticed that Kent was wearing all black and walking in front of the same bar that Emmett was allegedly spotted moving toward with two women back in October 2021. A Difficult Split
In May 2022, Kent claimed that Emmett "would threaten to call the police" when it was her turn to have their daughter during the early stages of their breakup. "He would give me time periods that I could take her. I don't think he knew I was leaving; I think he needed to regain control of me," she alleged on Jeff Lewis Live. "We [moved me out] quick. I was worried that he was having me watched, which he did send people to watch. Luckily, they didn't watch me move out. I packed my stuff probably in four hours." Courtesy of Lala Kent/Instagram
